Lime Putty
This is a non-hydraulic lime putty slaked from the finest Buxton quicklime and matured for a minimum of three months. It is supplied in sealed tubs. Coverage - 1 tonne of lime mortar will require 7 - 8 tubs of the 58 lb size.

Limewash
We make and supply our own limewashes based on a 50/50 blend of our own superior matured lime putty and water, together with both natural and manufactured pigments to produce a fantastic range of colours. We follow a traditional recipe of adding a little raw linseed oil which improves external watershedding and consolidates the surface internally. We make a particularly less watery limewash compared to a number of suppliers as our many customers prefer to buy limewash rather than water.

We also undertake a colour matching service at a reasonable cost of $40 plus the cost of the limewash.

Coverage - 1 gallon will cover 25 - 30 sq. yards for one coat. 3 to 4 coats are recommended for new render or plaster.

Metastar
A highly reactive pozzolan used to get an hydraulic set.

Pigments
We supply a wide range of bulk pigments, both natural and manufactured, suitable for colouring limewash. Natural pigments generally have less colouring power so you will need more pigment for a given limewash.
